What does the H.E.M. system do?

What is wrong with Rest and Ice
If you have used the R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) system in the past, you already know it is an extremely slow healing process. It can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks and in some cases up to many months to get your ankle back to health! One of the main reasons is that ice is only effective for the first 36-48 hours. After the first 2 days, ice has not been shown to be clinically effective at reducing swelling.

But, to make it worse, the R.I.C.E. system just tells you to just wait and rest. How exactly is that supposed to heal the ankle? Awesome and well worth the price! January 25, 2010

I am 30 years old and have 20 years of playing experience.  I have weathered numerous ankle injuries throughout my playing days that have kept me off my feet for weeks.  I must say I was skeptical of this program at first...but IT IS FOR REAL!!!  I had a level 2 ankle sprain with serious bruising and swelling an I couldn't even put half of my body weight on it.

After going through the routine I was able to walk pain free on the second day and I have never been able to do that with an ankle sprain.  I am writing this only one week after I sprained it and I have been able to work all week on my feet (40 plus hours) without a brace.  It is awesome and well worth price!!! Man I wish I had this when I was younger!!!

I bought this program from you in order to heal my ankle. I have sprained my ankle 4 and half months ago. I was doing many rehab techniques and they were effective, however only after a very long period of time. I then used this program because my ankle was still swelled up and after 4 days of using this program when i bought it, the swelling went down by about 90%, so thank you.

I suffered a severe ankle sprain, which two out of three doctors told me may take up to 6 months to completely heal. The third said probably a full year and that it would have been better to have broken the ankle or to have completely torn the ligaments. At first, I did what the doctors prescribed as R.I.C.E. However, after 3 1/2 weeks without any results or relief, I was willing to try anything. I came across your HEM method and as skeptical as I was I purchased your Ebook. I followed through with the exercises for two weeks consistently. After which time, I was able to return to playing ice hockey in mid April and was able to surf for the first time since the injury on April 29, 2009. When I revisited my doctor she was astounded by the progress. She stated "I don't know what you are doing but obviously you're doing something right, and it is working beyond comparison". Honestly, the worst ankle injury I have ever had and the best results I could have wished for. Thank you!

I am a Type 1 insulin- dependent, diabetic... consequently, any foot injury is double complicated and of major concern to me. Had a terrible fall on hard, ceramic tile floor. Ankle very bruised and swollen. could not put any weight on it...let alone, try to walk. After 3 days of the lousy R.I.C.E. method...... got online and downloaded your book. I consider myself a very assertive, pro-active, in-control, patient.  Due to my diabetic needs. Saw immediate changes. It took me more than a week to walk.... yet, am certain it would have taken much,much, much longer without your HEM method. This was all completed by your book instructions and by me. Gave up on ALL traditional, physician instructions. Not to mention, I am a former hospital management administrative director. I would recommend your instructions for anyone with any such related injuries. Thanks for all your expertise and instructional information! I complement you on your expert advice.
