How did you develop this program?
I developed this system after years of research and study into body dynamics and fitness. What can I expect using this system?

What if I have a High Ankle Sprain?
In a high ankle sprain, the ligaments above the joint are also injured. These ligaments, called the syndesmosis ligaments, can also be injured during an ankle sprain. The H.E.M. system does work extremely well for high ankle sprains as well as more typical ankle sprains (around the ankle joint). Should I use this system if I injured my ankle a while ago?
I get this question a lot. Some people have older injuries they never fully addressed. I strongly believe that this system will help you tremendously. If you injured your ankle a few weeks ago, a few months ago or even years ago, you need to do a proper rehab program. If not, your ankle is at a much higher risk for re-injury. In addition, if you did not fully rehab your ankles, then your range of motion will be more limited which can dramatically affect speed and agility.

Are there any other benefits?

What's wrong with R.I.C.E.?
R.I.C.E. is like a 911 call that never gets answered. Why? If you have a sprained ankle, there are all kinds of damage that need repair and R.I.C.E. does not respond to ANY of it. Basically, it just says rest and ice. But, ice is only effective for the first 36-48 hours and only helps contain swelling. Then, all that is really left is rest, which will NOT get rid of scar tissue, nor will it strengthen ligaments or stabilizer muscles, heal neuromuscular damage or improve overall mobility or functionality. And time is of the essence, because the longer you wait, the more scar tissue and adhesions will develop around your ankle joint inhibiting a full recovery.

What is the time difference in healing between R.I.C.E and H.E.M.?
It's hard to give an exact time period, because some people have much more severe sprains than others. As a general rule, if you have a swollen and bruised ankle, but can walk on it, you can expect to be walking normally after 2-4 days and back to playing sports within a week.With H.E.M. you can expect to be walking normally after 2-4 days and back to playing sports within a week. If you were using the R.I.C.E. system, you could expect to be walking normally in 10-14 days and playing sports again in 4-8 weeks.

If you have a more serious sprain and cannot walk on it at all, you can expect to be walking normally again in about a 6-8 days and playing sports in 2 weeks. Again, if you were using the R.I.C.E. system, you could expect to be walking normally again in a minimum of 2-3 weeks and playing sports again in about 2-3 months!

What if I have an Ankle Fracture?
Differentiating between a sprained ankle and an ankle fracture can be difficult, and sometimes an x-ray is needed. While moderate pain and swelling are common symptoms following a simple sprained ankle, symptoms such as inability to place weight on the leg, numbness of the toes, or pain that is difficult to manage should raise concern. If you think you may have done more than sustained a sprained ankle, you should seek medical attention. If you have a fracture, I recommend waiting until your ankle is well on the road to recovery before beginning the H.E.M. program. When your doctor tells you that you may begin a rehab program for your ankle, then you are ready.
